Today I thought I’d share a special peak into the beginning of our Mother’s Day portraits! This handsome young man and his mom came in to see us and I just HAD to share them!

Little boys amaze me!  I have two little girls and everytime I get to photograph a little boy I’m immediately struck by how different they are. They seem born masculine, handsome and strong.  Sounds maybe a bit counter-intuitive and yet I am still amazed.  This little man was no exception.  I even remarked to Dad how strong and muscular his legs looked already! Oh and  did I mention that he was  entirely too curious to sleep!  I think we (er hem Dad) managed to get him to sleep for oh say 3 minutes.

I know spring is definitely in the air and so are all the new babies!  So all you mom’s expecting a baby need to get this hospital kit.  Labour Kit has done all the running around and planning for you.  These kits come with everything you could possibly need during your hospital stay.  All nicely fit into one cute bag!

So happy and sad at the same time. I have been photographing this little guy since before he was born and look at him now!  Makes me teary just thinking how tiny and new he was; remembering his cute baby rolls in  the middle of the summer and then watching him learn to walk right outside his house last fall.  Wow, it really has  been a year!  He was an absolute riot to photograph, always full of giggles and smiles and just a touch to mischief!  Good luck with all your new adventures, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!

It all started with this new family of three, and then…

along came the whole gang!!

I couldn’t resist adding one of little Mister all on his own too!  What a little star.

A fantastic thing to do on Easter weekend!  It was great finally meeting everyone, and  I can’t wait for you to see the rest of them!!!

I barely remember being nine, but from what I remember I was never as put together as this young man.  This guy is full of energy, full of life, and really has a great way of seeing things.  We talked about school, and Geronimo and platypus’.  It was a real pleasure working with you (oh yeah and mom and dad too ).

What a wonderful Saturday! I had a fantastic time meeting everyone at the Durham Parent Baby and Kids Show. In fact, I am very moved and touched by the fantastic response and all compliments we have been getting.

She’s already 38 weeks along in her pregnancy and look at her!  I know we would all be thrilled to look this good.

She and Dad made my job literally so easy.  They are so in love and so excited about the first baby, and it shows in every image.   It was a pleasure to preserve this fleeting time for you.
